Maintaining and strengthening the health of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as strengthening the promotion of a healthy lifestyle are among the priority areas of modern state policy. In order to implement the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 4, 2024 No. PP-421 "On measures to develop team sports and improve the system of selecting talented youth", as well as in pursuance of the order of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 7, 2025 No. 3/44 "On supporting a healthy lifestyle and increasing the level of physical activity among employees of the ministry and the industry", on May 3 and 4 of this year in the Republic of Karakalpakstan a sports mini-football (futsal) tournament was organized among all workers in the communications sector, dedicated to the professional holiday - May 7, the day of workers in the communications industry.
Employees of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Service of the Republic of Karakalpakstan also actively participated in the competition. Such events, in turn, promote a healthy lifestyle and serve the cause of forming a society of physically strong and spiritually developed individuals.
In addition, the event is also important because it is aimed at widely involving communications workers in mass sports, as well as increasing the efficiency of work through mutual understanding, cohesion and a friendly atmosphere.
The competition was a tense struggle, and each team used all their opportunities to win.
More than 90 athletes from 9 teams took part in the competition. In a tournament full of uncompromising and intense struggle, the third place was taken by the team: Nukus branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, the second place by the team: Transport and Communication Hub of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and the honorable first place was taken by the team: Karakalpak branch of JSC "Uzbektelecom".
Following the results of the tournament, leading athletes and teams were awarded diplomas and valuable souvenirs.
